Becky’s business story

My business… shares spiritual wisdom especially through the lens of astrology & human design to help women remember who they are.

When I started my business I was inspired by wanting to share what I'd learnt which changed my life and made me actually understand what purpose really is.

The hardest element of running a business day to day for me is working and managing a family at the same time, which means I only have so much time to devote to my business.

I work really hard, I'm often up late or doing work on the weekend to stay on top of things, you have to be prepared to put effort in. You can't run a business on 3 hours work a week it doesn't work like that, or at least not in the beginning.

The biggest challenge I’ve faced running an astrology & human design business was coming out of the spiritual closet which brought up lots of witch wounds. The only way to overcome this was by going through it, to feel the fear and do it anyway!

I’ve learned that I'm really strong. I can do things on my own. My South Node (astrology placement which tells you the challenge you have inherited) is in the 7th House which represents partnership, feeling more secure with someone else, My North Node (which is where your soul wants you to evolve) is in the 1st House which represents self and learning to step into my own power and be seen. It is part of my spiritual evolution as I see it and I think owning your own business is one of the biggest spiritual challenges there is because of all the stories that come up - I'm not good enough, young enough, someone else is doing it better than me, no-one bought my offer, liked my post, etc, etc.

The best thing about running my business is when I've done a reading that I know is so impactful for that person. They might feel seen for the first time, or make sense about something that has been playing out in their life and realise it's not their fault, it's a spiritual test.

The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is that in business no-one else has the answers for you. They can advise you, but it has to feel like truth to you or it won't fly.

If I could offer other business owners one piece of advice it would be to feel the fear and do it anyway and don't let perfectionism hold you back. Get out there and start - you will evolve as you do.
